Normally I'd fill this section with my usual babbling and inner nonsensical thoughts - the junk this blog is made of. But I will not write those things this time. I will say this...
Our second date lasted more than six hours on a Tuesday night in December. We shared tacos, tequila, and stories about relationships, art, and life. Each hour we inched closer to each other on our bar stools and eventually our knees touched. We left them there. At some point our hands touched and we left them there. When the bartender announced "last call" I felt as if we'd just sat down, and I wondered if I could bottle this date and keep it forever on my bookshelf.
As we parted ways on that east village street I very much wanted to kiss him but I didn't. I couldn't. Because when I feel chemistry I turn into a girl. A little girl with a crush who has no idea what to do because she feels that feeling so rarely she almost believed it didn't exist anymore - almost.
Our third date was even better than the second, and I'm choosing to bottle it and keep it for myself. I will say it involved a kiss...many kisses.
