Sometimes you meet someone that you care about. And he cares about you but he is only capable of so much. When you realize that you need more than he can give you have to let go. Yes, it's sad but you need more and you deserve to get what you need.

When I fully understood that Gabe #39, could never give me what I needed I did just that - I let go. I never heard from him again.

Until New Year's via a Facebook message. He apologized for treating me badly. After a few emails we talked on the phone. He left New York abruptly last fall to deal with personal issues. He's dealing with them and doing quite well. It was good to hear his voice and I'm happy that he's happy.

We are friends now. We stay in touch by email and phone. I told him about this blog and maybe he's reading this post. We've only known each other one year and only met up a handful of times but he's a special person to me.

Sometimes certain people come into your life when you least expect it and you have an instant connection that over time is shaken and tested but cannot be broken. Let these people in, forgive them, and hold onto them tightly.
