2014 was a year full of hellos and goodbyes, love and loss, old and new, firsts and lasts, endings and beginnings.
Started my podcast Not That Complicated with CJ.
Note self: Do more 'cause it's fun.
Fell in love (quickly). I lost it (just as quickly).
Note to self: Beware of quick anything.
Made real connections with real people from Twitter.
Note to self: Social media is kinda cool.
Stayed "celibate" for one year.
Note to self: Congrats self. I didn't think you could do it.
Showed my face, revealed my name and “came out” about 100FD.
Note to self: The truth shall set you free.
Had my first TV appearances & wrote for actual publications.
Note to others: Thank you to all who made this possible.
Played in as many improv shows as possible
- Note to self: NO REGRETS. EVER.
Went on my 100th first date.
Note to self: WOW.
I rang in the new year with many old, good friends, drank, ate and danced. I lost my favorite black hat at a bar and I didn’t panic. I let it go - it served me well for five years. Every year I get better at letting go, which leaves room for all the new possibilities.
For 2015 I plan to take Jim Carrey’s advice: "Choose love, and don't ever let fear turn you against your playful heart."
Happy new year from my weird, playful face.
