How did you meet? Offline, at a hotel bar
Name: Christian
Height: 5'11"
Age: 31
Occupation: Story editor/Producer
Good quotes from date:
"I should be asking you some questions, right? OK. Have long have you lived in this neighborhood?....Do you have nice legs?"
Why is he still single? Just got out of a long-term relationship, I think he got his heart broken.
Did he pay for the date? He would have, but I didn't order a drink, but I did make him drop me home in a cab on his way home.
Did he contact you after the date?
Yes, but it was odd (via email) where he told me all of these great places to see on my vacation and then he said he thought the last time we met was weird and he understands if I never want to see or talk to him again. Huh? (see comments)
How many dates did you go on? One-half
Would you recommend to a friend? Not now

I met this guy about a month ago in a bar. We have been emailing/texting on and off and it really seemed like he wasn't interested. As the murphy's law of dating states, just when I'm about to delete his number from my phone, he texts. "Hello, i'm in your neighborhood, what are you up to?"
It was saturday night at 12:30am. Normally this would annoy me, but the night was taking a turn for the worse anyway so i figured what the hell?
We chatted for about an hour and boy can this boy talk - and talk and talk. He is very passionate about life. I learned that he is fresh out of a relationship (thank god he didn't give me the details, but I think they lived together), which explains his on/off texting. He is not ready to date, but that's ok.
I like talking to him, he's smart and cultured, and funny. So that is that. I have a feeling this isn't the end of the Christian story.
3 weeks later: I was right! That wasn't the end of the story...typical NYC style I saw him on a Monday afternoon standing outside a local lunch spot. We were both with coworkers.
We both did doubletakes and it was awkward. A few hours later I got an email from him saying "Was that you outside ____? You look cute today". I answered yes, and made some email small talk...and so it continues...
